(Rallying Patriots) – A bombshell report from the Daily Mail has revealed that Jeff DeWit, Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, allegedly had a conversation with GOP Senate candidate Kari Lake where he unveiled a plan to encourage her to opt out of running last year. The discussion was recorded and published on Tuesday. In the audio recording, you can hear a male voice, who the Daily Mail confirmed is DeWit, informing Lake there are powerful individuals who did not want to see her run for office.
According to the piece, DeWit suggested Lake wait a period of two years before running and then offered to give her an undisclosed amount of cash that he stated in the recording would make her very happy, which would come from the pockets of folks “back east.” Lake said no to the offer. DeWit would later refuse to identify who the “powerful individuals” were that did not want Lake to run.
“There are very powerful people who want to keep you out,” DeWit reportedly remarked, going on to add that they were “willing to put their money where their mouth is in a big way.”
If you listen to the recording, Lake seems to be a bit stunned by the whole conversation, which DeWit told her not to tell anyone about. She replied to that request by saying, ”This is about defeating Trump, and I think that’s a bad, bad thing for our country.”

DeWit then asked Lake to come up with a dollar amount she would like, but she interrupted him, saying, “I can be bought?”
“’I don’t want to make a deal with these kinds of people. This is a hill worth dying on,” she declared in conclusion. That, ladies and gentlemen, is what a person of integrity and character looks like. Lake stood her ground, clung to her principles, and refused to sell her soul to the enemies of former President Donald Trump. We need more people with steel backbones like Kari Lake in politics. Maybe her example here will rub off on others?
“Lake recalled an attempt at bribing her not to run for the Senate at CPAC last year — a claim much of the establishment media used to smear her,” the report noted. Well, who gets the last laugh now?
“They came to my door, and they tried to bribe me out of getting out of politics,” Lake went on to say in March 2023. “I’m telling you this because this is how disgusting politics is. A mom who runs for office, and they’re afraid of me?”
She added, “This person standing before me was sent at the request of some powerful people back East. They want me out of politics. But wait a minute, I thought they already stopped us. Why are they so afraid? I thought they already stopped our movement.”
The Independent reported on the claim at the time by featuring a headline for an article that read, “Kari Lake spins tale of attempted bribery to drop out of politics.”
Well, it seems The Independent owes Lake an apology, wouldn’t you agree? She was telling the truth the whole time and there’s recorded evidence of the incident. The question on all of our minds at the moment is who are these powerful people that wanted Lake out of the picture? They are no doubt members of the D.C. swamp. Individuals who are abusing their power and authority in such a manner need to be held accountable for their actions.
