(Rallying Patriots) – A new report from The Western Journal has revealed that a U.S. plane that has been designed and built to withstand a nuclear conflict took flight on Monday as rhetoric from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has made not-so-veiled threats about potentially using nuclear weapons against anyone who might consider intervening in his war with Ukraine, continues to intensify.
According to information published by iNews, the plane, a specialized Boeing 747, has the Call sign “GORDO15” but is known by the name “doomsday plane” colloquially. The plane took off from an Air Force base that is located near Lincoln, Nebraska to take part in a training flight for a period of over four hours.
The plane is part of a fleet of Boeing 747 aircraft that the United States military has sustained for 50 years, according to the iNews report.
The fleet of aircraft has been named “Nightwatch,” and it was created “with the specific purpose of providing an airborne base for the US defense secretary and senior military personnel to conduct operations during a nuclear war.”

“According to iNews, at least one of the planes is kept ready 24/7. It can stay in the air for multiple days and is ‘designed to withstand the electromagnetic pulse from a nuclear blast,'” the WJ report stated.
“The four-and-a-half hour training flight was not necessarily out of the ordinary, though it was described as ‘unusual.’ Aircraft from the ‘Nightwatch’ fleet routinely conduct readiness and training flights, iNews reported,” according to WJ.
“However, the news of the flight took on a new meaning for many in light of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine,” the report continued. “According to the Associated Press, Putin told top Russian defense officials to put nuclear forces in a ‘special regime of combat duty’ on Sunday.”
“The AP reported it was unclear whether this directive would change the state of Russian nuclear forces significantly or at all, but it did signal a strong response from Putin to sanctions imposed by the U.S. and other countries,” the report added.
Putin then went on to cite “aggressive statements regarding our country” in his reasoning for making the move.
The UK has downplayed the full severity of the announcement from Putin, according to iNews, with Prime Minister Boris Johnson going on to say it was meant to distract the world from the slow progress Russia is making concerning its invasion of Ukraine.
Joe Biden also did not seem to be bothered much by the potential threat of nuclear war on Monday of this week. A reporter asked him if he was concerned about a potential nuclear conflict with Russia, he said he wasn’t.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki then tried to squash any concerns about a nuclear threat by urging Americans not to engage with the rhetoric that Putin continues to spew.
“We think provocative rhetoric like this regarding nuclear weapons is dangerous, adds to the risk of miscalculation, should be avoided, and [we] will not indulge in it,” Psaki stated.
“We are assessing President Putin’s directive and at this time see no reason to change our own alert levels,” she concluded.
Well, the fact this plane is up in the air doing training missions certainly seems to indicate that the powers that be are at least a little concerned about the potential of nuclear war with Russia, otherwise they wouldn’t be doing these missions.
Then again, it’s always best to be prepared for the worst while hoping for the best. Still, this is a bit unsettling to say the least.
