Man Threatening To Blow Up Capitol Speaks: “I’m Ready To Die For The Cause”

(Rallying Patriots) – An “active bomb threat” on Capitol Hill Thursday morning resulted in Capitol Police evacuating the area. The threat was near the Library of Congress and police were seen rushing to that area as well as evacuating Capitol Hill buildings and surrounding businesses and restaurants.

A suspected explosive device was found in the back of a pickup truck and law enforcement officials were sent to confront a man seen in a truck near the Library making threats.

Capitol Hill was evacuated Thursday morning after Capitol Police reported an “active bomb threat” near the Library of Congress.

The potential explosives were the first major security incident to occur at the Capitol since Jan. 5, 2021 when pipe bombs were found at the DNC and RNC headquarters. That was, of course, the day before the “pro-Trump” mob attempted an “insurrection” on the US government.

Capitol Police negotiated with the suspect who claimed to have a bomb in his truck while one media report provided more details about the wanna-be bomber.

According to that report the suspect sat in his truck and shouted about having a bomb while tossing dollar bills out of his window. Other media outlets reported that the man allegedly had a propane tank rigged as a bomb in his truck.

22-year-old Sydney Bobb, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was on her way to a politics class near the Library of Congress around 9:25 a.m. when she witnessed the man in his black pick-up truck shouting about having a bomb.

She took a picture of the man and shared it on social media. “I was walking on that block because that’s where I go to class. He was shouting that he had a bomb. And then he threw money out the side of the truck,” Bobb told The Independent by phone as she was being evacuated from her class.

“I remember feeling scared,” she said.

Bobb took a photo of the suspect which showed dollar bills scattered all over the ground near his truck which she initially thought must have been fake “because who throws money out of a truck?”

NBC News reported that the man, identified as Floyd Ray Roseberry, of Grover, North Carolina said he had a message for Joe Biden.

“The revolution is on. It’s here…if you blow my truck up, it’s on you, Joe. I’m ready to die for the cause.”

He continued: “If you could do anything to save one life, even one life, you said you’d do it. Well here’s your chance. I wanna go home to see my wife…if you wanna shoot me and take the chance of blowing up 2.5 city blocks because that toolbox is full of ammonium nitrate, well…”

“I’m telling you bud. The south’s here. There’s five of us spread across your little DC part here.”

The man surrendered as sharpshooters were getting into place.

What an ordeal.
