(Rallying Patriots) – Hot on the heels of Joe Biden’s meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid where a joint declaration was signed last week that promised to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, a senior official within the Iranian government stated that the Islamic nation already possesses the capability to produce a nuclear bomb, though, according to this individual, no decision has been made on building one.
Well, this is terrifying. A nation that regularly screams “death to America” has the capability to produce weapons of mass destruction. That’s not only horrible news for the U.S., but for Israel as well.
According to The Western Journal, Kamal Kharrazi, who is a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, went on to say over the weekend that, “In a few days we were able to enrich uranium up to 60 percent and we can easily produce 90 percent enriched uranium . . . Iran has the technical means to produce a nuclear bomb but there has been no decision by Iran to build one.”
The adviser then went on to speak with the Arabic outlet of Al Jazeera saying that Iran will respond directly against the nation of Israel if its security is targeted.
This represents a massive shift in rhetoric from Tehran, which in the past has stated that refining uranium is going to be completed simply for civilian energy uses.
“Iran’s claim of nuclear know-how is the latest development in the back-and-forth between Tehran and the U.S. on atomic weapons,” the Western Journal reported. “In 2018, then-President Donald Trump, as part of his ‘maximum pressure’ campaign, officially abandoned the July 2015 nuclear deal Trump’s predecessor, President Barack Obama, orchestrated between Iran and several world powers.”
“Under the terms of the agreement, Iran ostensibly agreed to dismantle much of its nuclear program and open its facilities to more international inspection in exchange for relief from biting economic sanctions,” the report stated.
Biden’s administration has gone to indicate it is willing to sign on to an agreement to bring back the horrific Iran nuclear deal, which is known by its more “professional” sounding name as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, however thus far, efforts to do so have not really produced much in the way of results.
Which is a good thing. The Iran deal was a horrific idea to begin with. President Donald Trump pulled us out of it and rightly so. We don’t need to be financially supporting terrorist nations who hate our guts, enabling them to have the necessary funds to produce weapons of mass destruction.
“Indirect talks between the U.S. and Iran – with Russia serving as go-between – have been stalled since March, Reuters reported,” the WJ report stated. “Even as it pursues diplomatic efforts with Iran, the Biden administration also continues to assure allies in the region it will not allow Iran to become a nuclear power.”
“The United States stresses that integral to this pledge is the commitment never to allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon, and that it is prepared to use all elements of its national power to ensure that outcome,” the statement, which was signed by Biden and Lapid in Israel on Thursday, went on to read.
The next stop for Biden after visiting the nation of Israel was Saudi Arabia.
“Reuters reported Saturday that in a joint statement put out by the Saudi state news agency, the U.S. and Saudi Arabia agreed on the importance of stopping Iran from ‘acquiring a nuclear weapon,'” the report stated.
The statement then said that Biden affirmed the United States’ commitment to supporting “Saudi Arabia’s security and territorial defense, and facilitating the Kingdom’s ability to obtain necessary capabilities to defend its people and territory against external threats.”
The four-day trip with stops in both Israel and Saudi Arabia is the first time since Biden took office last year that he has made a trip to the Middle East.
Again, this is scary news. If Iran is now capable of producing weapons of mass destruction, our greatest ally in the fight against Islamic terrorism in the Middle East region, Israel, is in big, big trouble. Not only that, but terrorist organizations will be scrambling to get a piece of these weapons to use in attacks on the U.S., whether here on our own soil or abroad.
No country in the west is safe.
