Hillary Spy Scandal: N.Y. Times Comes Up With Absurd Reason It’s Avoiding One Of Biggest Scandals Ever

(Rallying Patriots) – Who remembers Watergate? Even if you were born after Watergate happened, everyone in America knows about Watergate because it was the biggest scandal of that time. It was huge. It’s still looked back on as a major event in American politics.

Yet, all of the mainstream media outlets today are refusing to cover what is most certainly the biggest scandal since Watergate. As a matter of fact, if special counsel John Durham’s charge is true, Hillary Clinton and her campaign spying on President Trump when he was a candidate and after he won the presidency, is a much bigger, even more scandalous and significant affair than Watergate.

Watergate pales in comparison.

A New York Times reporter attempted to justify the media’s complete black-out of this major revelation as if anyone in the US still believes the Times is an honest journalistic publication.

Nonetheless, NYT reporter Charlie Savage contended that the allegations made by Durham are just too much work for the Times’ readers to understand and digest.

Two days after the story broke, and the Times still had not even so much as mentioned it, Savage wrote that Durham’s claims “tend to involve dense and obscure issues, so dissecting them requires asking readers to expend significant mental energy and time — raising the question of whether news outlets should even cover such claims.”

He went on to lament that “Trump allies portray the news media as engaged in a cover-up if they don’t.”

Mind you, Savage covers national security and legal policy issues. You’d think someone of his stature and experience could break down what’s going on in simpler terms for all of us ignorant folk to understand.

Savage said in his “news analysis” on Monday titled “Court Filing Started a Furor in Right-Wing Outlets, but Their Narrative Is Off Track.”

The subhead is “The latest alarmist claims about spying on Trump appeared to be flawed, but the explanation is byzantine — underlining the challenge for journalists in deciding what merits coverage.”

In other words, Savage gets to decide on the merits of special counsel John Durham’s claims and then instead of allowing the American people that same opportunity, he smugly explains that we just wouldn’t understand.

The New York Times is far from the only outlet refusing to give this major story any coverage. News networks ABC, NBC, CBS, and MSNBC all gave the story no air time at all while CNN spent a total of 2 minutes and 30 seconds on it.

Savage’s claim that Americans just can’t understand Durham’s allegations did not go unchallenged. Margot Cleveland of The Federalist took to Twitter to challenge each of his arrogant points.

For example, she noted that Savage refers to a target of Durham’s investigation, Michael A. Sussman, as a lawyer “with links to the Democratic Party” but this is patently false and misleading. Sussman was a counsel for the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign. He’s a lot more than just a lawyer “with links to the Democratic Party.”

Savage also took a page right out of the Clintons’ handbook and claimed that it’s all just “old news.”

Meanwhile, Durham filed a 13-page motion on Friday against Sussman alleging that enemies of President Trump fed disinformation to intelligence agencies that they obtained from their surveillance of him. This was all done in an effort to frame Trump during his campaign and while he was serving as president.

Sussman has already been charged with one count of lying to then-FBI general counsel James Baker during a meeting just before the 2016 election. The indictment, which came last September, charged that Sussman was trying to provide the FBI with evidence of a secret communication channel between the Trump organization and the Russian Alfa Bank.

Sussman told Baker he was not working on behalf of any client when in actuality he was working for Hillary Clinton.

Savage is just a liar like Sussman. He contends Americans won’t understand it all so the media just shouldn’t bother covering it but the truth is he knows Americans understand all too well.

Watergate is but just a drop in the bucket of history compared to this whale of a scandal that the entire media establishment is complicit in.
