ALERT: Chicago Will Pursue Lawsuit Against Disgraced Actor Jussie Smollett

(Rallying Patriots) – Leftists seem to rarely have to face the consequences of their criminal or unethical behavior. Just look at Hillary Clinton, Joe “the Big Guy” Biden and his corrupt son Hunter, Governors Wolf, Cuomo and Murphy (COVID nursing home scandals) and Nancy Pelosi for the most notable examples.

Jussie Smollett, however, is not one of the untouchable radical leftists. When he hatched his genius plan to stage a fake hate crime in Chicago on Jan. 29, 2019, in order to make President Trump and conservatives look like evil, racist bigots he most certainly thought he’d get away with it.

He probably never even thought about the potential consequences if his fool-proof plan were to fail. After all, he thought he was much smarter than law enforcement and besides, he was on the right side of the political spectrum. What could possibly go wrong?

Now Smollett has been found guilty on five felony counts by a jury of his peers in the Windy City and is facing a lawsuit seeking $130,106.15 from the city of Chicago. Things really escalated quickly for Smollett who only set out to further the race divide in America and demonize the President and his supporters.

The city’s lawsuit against the disgraced Empire actor has been affirmed by the guilty verdicts against him.

“The City filed a civil lawsuit against Jussie Smollett to recover costs incurred by the Chicago Police Department investigating what the City believed to be Smollett’s false police reports that he was a victim of a hate crime,” a statement from the city of Chicago said.

The statement continued, “While using a different standard of proof, the jury’s finding of guilt convicting Jussie Smollett of criminal charges stemming from the incident confirms that the City was correct in bringing its civil lawsuit.”

According to city information, the investigation resulted in 1,836 hours of overtime for more than two dozen police officers.

Jussie Smollett tried to countersue the city but the case was dismissed. U.S. District Court Judge Virginia Kendall told him that he would be able to refile the charges after his criminal trial if he was found not guilty. Looks like Smollett won’t be refiling those charges any time soon. Or ever.

As if things weren’t bad enough for Smollett, the two Nigerian brothers that Smollett hired to help him carry out the hoax, Abimbola Osundairo and Olabinjo Osundairo, have filed defamation lawsuits against him over their now damaged careers and reputations.

Their defamation lawsuit has been put on hold by a federal judge until the completion of sentencing for Smollett. The judge asked the brothers to file a status report with the court by Feb. 1, 2022.

There have been very few instances of justice for leftists over the last 6 years but this is one instance that we can all feel good about. Jussie Smollett has gotten what he deserves.
