ALERT: Biden Admin Sues AZ Over Election Security Law

(Rallying Patriots) – While states are attempting to secure their elections processes before the upcoming midterm elections, the US federal government is busy filing nonsense lawsuits in an effort to impede election security.

The Biden regime’s DOJ has filed a lawsuit against the state of Arizona claiming it’s wrong of the state to force voters to prove they are American citizens in order to vote.

Fox News reported, on Tuesday, the Department of Justice filed a complaint against Arizona’s House Bill 2492, asserting that it violates the National Voter Registration Act of 1992 and the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

The New York Times reported that as of March 31, around 500 voters could be impacted by the law which is set to take effect on Jan. 1.

Critics of the law argue that some voters, such as students, the elderly or tribal members may not have the documentation being required by the state. Of course, this is a silly argument as there is nothing stopping these individuals from obtaining the necessary documentation if they wish to part in the election process.

Naturally, the Justice Department claims to have filed the lawsuit in an effort to “protect” the voices of those who would otherwise be silenced by the law.

“For nearly three decades, the National Voter Registration Act has helped to move states in the right direction by eliminating unnecessary requirements that have historically made it harder for eligible voters to access the registration rolls,” Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division said. “Arizona has passed a law that turns the clock back on progress by imposing unlawful and unnecessary requirements that would block eligible voters from the registration rolls for certain federal elections.”

The Arizona law does not “turn the clock back” on so-called “progress,” which is just veiled language for destroying the system. The left desperately wants illegal aliens to be able to vote in US elections and this is just another effort to see that it happens unfettered in border states like Arizona.

The Arizona Attorney General scoffed at the language used by the Assistant Attorney General.

“In addition to free rooms and transportation for those illegally entering our country, the DOJ now wants to give them a chance to vote,” he said in a statement to Fox News.

“It’s another round of Brnovich v. Biden. I will once again be in court defending Arizona against the lawlessness of the Biden administration,” he said, referring to past battles with the Biden regime as states seek to reestablish their authority against what they believe is federal overreach.

In a letter to the Department of Justice, Brnovich boldly called out the Biden regime and stated that it was “curious, however, that the Department of Justice would use its resources to challenge a common sense law in Arizona designed to guard against non-citizen voting, while the Biden Administration is simultaneously opening our borders to encourage a flood of illegal immigration. Is the federal government attempting to undermine our sovereignty and destabilize our election infrastructure?”

He called on the federal government to “reconsider your pursuit of this misguided suit and instead recognize Arizona’s constitutional authority to conduct lawful and secure elections.”

In the letter, he vowed that he would take the case to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary.

Back in 2004, Arizona passed a law requiring proof of citizenship to vote in state elections but that law does not cover federal elections, such as the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

Voters can register to vote in federal elections only without providing any proof of citizenship as the federal form does not require any. The new law seeks to expand the state’s authority to cover federal elections. This seems reasonable since the Constitution expressly tasks the individual states with conducting elections.

When Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed the law, he said it was “a balanced approach that honors Arizona’s history of making voting accessible without sacrificing security in our elections.”

“Election integrity means counting every lawful vote and prohibiting any attempt to illegally cast a vote,” Ducey said.

That’s basically it in a nutshell. It’s totally mind-blowing how the federal government is fighting common sense laws that are meant to protect US elections.

Mind-blowing yet sadly not surprising in the least.

  1. If the groups who do not have the documentation to cast a vote, why be so concerned about these voters. They probably wouldn’t make an intelligent choice when casting their vote.
But this is what this administration is all about. The voters they care so much about would believe Biden’s claim that the Russia Ukraine war caused inflation.
In places like Australia a vote that is cast haphazardly is called a ‘donkey vote’ a vote that carries no intelligent thought about who will next run the country.
And those 500 votes will manifest into 50,000 votes rather mysteriously.
The Donkey Party is so deviously predictable.
